Gospel According to Exner
The Gospel according to I Exner, Chapter 1, Verse 1: In the beginning was the blot, and the blot was without form and void, and vagueness was upon the face of the card. And Rorschach moved upon the face of the card. And Rorschach said, let there be location, and there was location. And Rorschach saw the location, that it was good and divided the W from the D and S. And Rorschach called the W whole the D detail and the S white space. And the location was the first score. And Rorschach said, let there be Developmental Quality and there was Developmental Quality. And Rorschach saw that there was Developmental Quality and it was good. And he divided the DQ into +, o, and v. And Rorschach called the + synthesized, o ordinary, and v Vague. And Developmental quality was the second score. And Rorschach said; let the blot bring forth determinants. And the blot brought forth Form, Movement, Color, Shading, Texture, Pairs, and Reflections, each after its own kind to show what likeness had made it look like that, and Rorschach saw that it was good. And the determinant was the third score. And Rorschach said, let there be Contents in the blots of the cards to divide the perceptions one from another. And let them be signs for projected material. And let there be Human and Animal each with its own whole, detail, and mythology. And let there be anatomy, art and blood; Clothing, clouds, and Fire; Food, Landscape, and Sex. And the number of contents was large and held many mysteries. And the content was the fourth score And Rorschach said, let there be populars. And the blots brought forth a bat, animals, humans, skins, and crabs according to its own W or D location. And Rorschach saw that it was good. And the popular was the fifth score. And Rorschach said, let there be special scores. And the blots brought forth special scores each after its own kind. DV and DR; INCOM and FABCOM, each with a 1 or a 2. There were perseverations that were within and across, and Confabulations after its own likeness. Movement was cooperative and aggressive. There was abstract content and personalized responses. While color was projected there was also morbids. And Rorschach looked upon the special scores and saw that it was good. And Special score was the sixth score. And Rorschach said, let us make the structural summary in our own image. And Rorschach blessed it and said unto it, be fruitful and multiply and replenish the data. Thus Rorschach said I have given you the R, L, eb and EBPer. I have given you the D and AdjD and X-% also. Every score of the blot is yours, to name and take charge over. And so it has come to pass that the structural summary has become so grand and wonderful. And Rorschach saw everything that he had made and behold it was very good. And he was very pleased. Thus the blot and its structural summary were finished and all the host of them. And on the seventh score Rorschach ended his work which he had made and rested on the Seventh score from all his work.
